New Delhi: More than a year after a female employee of The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) filed a complaint against its chief RK Pachauri of sexual harassement, Delhi Police finalised a chargesheet in the case, according to reports.
A report by CNN IBN said that a chargesheet has been finalised in TERI sexual harassment case and is likely to be filed in the court next week.As per the report, Pachauri has been found guilty in the case and is likely to be charged by the Delhi Police with crimes related to sexual harassment within two weeks.
In February last year, the former chief of a United Nations climate panel was accused of sexually harassing a 29-year-old female researcher working at the Delhi-based TERI where Pachauri was Director General.
Trouble mounted for the 75-year-old world renowned scientist, who was already embroiled a legal battle over allegations of sexual harassment, when another woman, a former employee of TERI, came out in public and made similar allegations against him.
The fresh allegation came just three days after Pachauri was elevated to the position of Executive Vice Chairman at TERI.
