Delhi: Narendra Modi is still the best prime ministerial candidate, according to an opinion poll.

However, as per the survey conducted by India Today-Karvy Insights, Congress vice president has emerged as a strong challenger for PM Modi.​


Nonetheless, BJP-led NDA would win 286 seats if polls were held now.


Also, there was no change in the NDA vote share of 37 percent.


The survey also said that 40 percent of those surveyed thought that intolerance had gone up.


As for major issues, 34 percent said it was price rise, 34 percent said it was corruption, while 7 percent each thought it was economy and terrorism respectively.


When asked whether Modi government had brought Acche Din, 40 percent said yes, 31 percent said no and 22 percent said that conditions remained the same.
