New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice President Hamid Ansari paid their tributes to India's first woman prime minister Indira Gandhi on her 98th birth anniversary at the Shakti Sthal, here on Thursday.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi, party leader Rahul Gandhi, former prime minister Manmohan Singh and other party leaders paid their floral tributes at the late leader's memorial here.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to Twitter to pay tributes to Indira Gandhi.
"Tributes to Indira ji on her birth anniversary," he tweeted.
A series of functions would be organised to highlight the contribution of Indira Gandhi towards nation building.

Indira Gandhi fell to assassins' bullets on 31st October, 1984 at her 1, Safdarjung Road residence in New Delhi.
