National Herald case: When Subramanian Swamy called P Chidamabaram `sub-standard` lawyer
Swamy made it clear that he will not spare anyone who will indulge in corruption.
New Delhi: BJP's most fiery leader Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday spoke out his mind on the controversy surrounding National Herald case involving Congress high command Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.
In an interview to India Today, Swamy made it clear that he will not spare anyone who will indulge in corruption.
When asked why he is being seen as somebody against Sonia Gandhi, Swamy said that there is no animus against her, but he feels that she is unfit to be a political leader.

“She has been there in the politics for about 20 years. In 1999, at her request I held a tea party and brought the BJP govt down. There s no animus against her. I know something about her I didn't know before and that makes me feel that she is unfit to be a political leader,” Swamy said while talking to India Today.
On Congress' claim that judge was changed in the case, Swamy said, “Talk to anyone who has been following the proceedings in the case and they will tell you that Kapil Sibal and Abhishek Manu Singhvi had insisted on bringing this present judge Sunil Gaur.”
Later, reacting to senior Congress leader and former union minister P Chidamabaram's series of tweets stating HC judgement in National Herald case incomprehensible, Swamy called him a 'sub-standard' lawyer.

“Well Mr Chidambaram should have presented his argument in court on this. None of their lawyers argued on it,” he said.
“Chidambaram may be your favourite lawyer, but in my opinion he is a sub-standard lawyer. He ought to have been engaged by Sonia Gandhi,” Swamy told the anchor.
