New Delhi: In an online poll conducted by Zee Media, 70 percent feel that juvenile's release in heinous Nirbhaya gang-rape case will go against principle of justice.
The poll further shows that only 14 percent think it will be a right step to release him and remaining 16 percent are doubtful.
The MHA is contemplating to ask the juvenile convict to sign a legal bond affirming good behaviour after his release.
The bond as per Section 107 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) will act as security for keeping the peace after his release from a juvenile remand home.
However, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy said it is dangerous to free such a convict and appealed to the courts to make certain provisions in the law to deal with such serious offences.
