Kumar gave his direction to official of Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) while reviewing its function here, an official statement said.

PHED minister Krishnandan Prasad Verma and Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh were present during the review meeting by the CM.

Connecting every household with drinking water supply and constructing toilet in every home form part of Kumar's "seven resolves" which has now been adopted by the grand secular alliance government.

Kumar directed officials to prepare a proposal to achieve the two objectives by January 15, 2016.

He laid stress on involvement of masses to achieve the twin objectives.

Kumar instructed officials to make people aware against misuse of water for proper use of drinking water.

The CM said PHED department would construct toilet in houses which does not have the one at present through "Lohia Swachaha Bihar Abhiyan".
