Allahabad: In a major blow to the propaganda politics of the anti-BJP faction, a report has claimed that there has been a 30% hike in the number of Muslim kids studying in the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS)-run schools across Uttar Pradesh.
According to a report in the 'Times of India', over 7,000 Muslim students are currently enrolled in around 1,200 RSS-run schools across the state.
The number of Muslim students has seen an increase of 30% in the last two years after the BJP-led government came to power at the Centre, the report claimed.
The RSS also claimed that these students were following all rules like reciting 'slokas' and 'bhojan mantras' with great enthusiasm.
While praising Muslim boys and girls for bringing laurels to their schools in the fields of sports, cultural activities and academics, the authorities at Saraswati Shishu Mandir and Saraswati Vidya Mandir said these kids have made their parents proud too.
The success of these students has completely shattered the Opposition's charge of RSS pushing ahead its anti-Muslim propaganda in the name of nation building.
Interestingly, these Muslim students begin their day with 'surya namaskar' and by singing 'Vande Mataram' and chanting vedic hymns.
There are about 4,672 boys and 2,218 girls from the community pursuing education up to class XII at these RSS schools, the report said.
