Panel for identification of privacy issues submitted report, RS told

An expert group constituted by the Planning Commission on the issues related to right to privacy has submitted its report on October 16, 2012.

New Delhi: An expert group constituted under the chairmanship of Justice A.P. Shah, former Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, by the Planning Commission on the issues related to right to privacy has submitted its report on October 16, 2012.

This was stated by Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions and Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office Dr Jitendra Singh in a written reply to a question by Dilipbhai Pandya in the Rajya Sabha on Friday.

The drafting of the bill is, however, at preliminary stage and details of the bill are yet to be finalised.
