San Jose: While addressing the Indian diaspora at SAP Centre, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated the need for electronic governance in India to take the prospect of developments further.
"It has been my experience that e-governance is effective governance, easy governance and most economical governance. Penetration of technology is immense," said Prime Minister Modi during his address here in California.
"Even the poorest of poor possess a cellphone in India," he added.
Prime Minister Modi, while stressing on the schemes initiated by his government, also said that even the poorest of poor is ready to do something for the country.
"More than 30 lakh people have voluntarily surrendered their subsidies. This is the strength that will take the country forward," he added.
