“Railways have not delivered 'Achhe din', and quite contrary to the media hype, there is a growing sense of despair and gloom all around,” the RJD chief said in an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

As Railways Minister Suresh Prabhu is set to present the 3rd Railway Budget, he'd be acutely aware of the ground reality. “Railways haven't delivered Achhe din,” Yadav said.

He said that “It is still not too late and railways has huge untapped potential. It's like a Jersey cow.

“Since your govt has neither milked nor took care of it, it has fallen sick.”

The RJD chief said that "if the government does course correction by reversing anti-poor policies, the Jersey cow (Railways) can be restored back to sound health.”
