New Delhi: In a foot-in-the-mouth remark, BJP general secretary Ram Madhav during an interview with Al Jazeera presenter and journalist Mehdi Hasan, told him 'your ISIS' when he was trying to make a point about his apprehensions about the dreaded militant group.
While discussing about his apprehensions that Islaimc State is acquiring nuclear weapons, Madhav told the Muslim anchor 'your ISIS'.
Taken aback by the former RSS spokesperson's remark, Hasan stressed on the remark 'My ISIS?' thrice.
Although Madhav did not apologise for his remark, he corrected himself by explaining that he was just trying to say is ISIS...
Mehdi later took to Twitter and said, “I did a tough interview with a BJP politician. Silly me. Now the right-wing, anti-Muslim trolls, plus Christine Fair, are after me.”
