Russian woman raped in Goa by guest house owner

Panaji: Reports claimed on Saturday that a Russian woman has been raped by a guest house owner in Goa.

The 25-year-old Russian woman was staying at the guest house where she was allegedly raped, Pernem police said.

As per inspector Sanjay Dalvi, the incident happened on Friday morning when the women was sleeping in her room.

The accused has been identified as James D’Souza, owner of Morjim Club guest house.

He has been missing since the incident.

“Medical examination of the woman has confirmed rape,” Dalvi said.

The victim was supposed to leave the country in the first week of May.
