Singapore Police claim headless body found in river belong to Haryana woman

Singapore City: The Singapore Police on Thursday claimed that a headless body found in a river here more than two years ago belonged to a woman from Haryana.

A headless body of a woman was discovered in a river in December 2013. But the police couldn't immediately ascertain her identity as her head was missing.

However after an extensive study, the police have concluded that the body belonged to a woman from Haryana, according to a report.

The police are suspecting her husband behind the gruesome murder.

Meanwhile, the Interpol has issued a red corner notice for Harvinder Singh, husband and the main accused, who is absconding.

The victim has been identified as Jasvinder Kaur. She holds an Indian passport that states her place of birth as Haryana.

Further details in the case are awaited.
