Those who sympathise with Pakistan are enemies of India: Giriraj Singh
Attacking Lalu over his controversial `Hindus also eat beef` remarks, Union Minister Giriraj Singh tweeted: `Lalu has said that Hindus eat beef, will he the same way suggest Muslims to eat pork. Are Hindus only to be insulted in Hindustan?.`
New Delhi: Amid the continuing cut and thrust of Bihar polls, Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday said those who sympathise with Pakistan are "enemies" of India and asked RJD leader Lalu Prasad if he would suggest Muslims to eat pork the same way he said Hindus ate beef.
"People who sysmpathise with Pakistan are enemies of India," he said.
Attacking Lalu over his controversial 'Hindus also eat beef' remarks, he tweeted: "Lalu has said that Hindus eat beef, will he the same way suggest Muslims to eat pork. Are Hindus only to be insulted in Hindustan?."
He also attacked eminent writers, artistes and scientists returning awards, saying, "Those who r returning awards are 'Darbari Intellectuals'."
Asked why there was repeated reference to Pakistan in the Bihar elections, BJP leader said, "It was raised by Nitish and Lalu to polarise voters. We always advocate development."
"What was the need for Nitish to take Bihar polls to Pakistan? Why Nitish gave advertisement in Pakistan when elections are going on in Bihar? Then why it was removed?" Singh, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, asked.
"Pakistan is creating problems for India continuously. It is giving shelter to terrorists, it has become nursery of terrorist training," Singh said to an English news channel.
A row had recently erupted after Giriraj Singh's ministerial colleague Rajiv Pratap Rudy shared on Twitter a screenshot of Pakistan's daily Dawn website carrying Nitish Kumar's ad of vote appeal.
Rudy came in for sharp criticism by the twitterati, who castigated him for his "ignorance" about Google ads and questioned his knowledge of the cyber world, arguing that Google provides ads on any site based on the reader's locations and browsing habits and insisted that it's not an ad in "Dawn".
BJP president Amit Shah was issued a showcause notice by the Election Commission yesterday for his remark at a poll rally in Bihar that celebratory firecrackers will be burst in Pakistan if BJP lost the state assembly elections.
Making a scathing attack on Lalu and Nitish, BJP leader said "Nitish is just a mask and Lalu is manipulating him."
Describing himself as a "proud" RSS man, Singh said the Sangh always highlighted issues that were in national interest.
