New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday dubbed the throwing of a shoe on Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal `as an act of frustration` because of the success of the road rationing scheme initiated by the Kejriwal government.
"Few people who had displeasure when the Odd Even Scheme became successful, so it is the act of frustrated people who are trying to derail the work," Transport Minister Gopal Rai told the media here.
"As far as the CD is concerned, we have acted on it, the concerned person has been removed," he added.
Rai further pointed out that it is an attempt by unsuccessful people to derail the Odd Even plan.
"But this initiative would continue and we would overcome all the trouble, this is a frustrated activity," he added.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came to inform the public about the second phase of the odd-even vehicle rationing scheme from April 15 to 30, and instead, almost took a shoe hit.
The shoe thrower, identified as Ved Prakash, has been detained for questioning and is reportedly a member of the Aam Aadmi Sena.
