New Delhi: Following is the timeline of the Jigisha Ghosh murder case:

March 18, 2009: Jigisha was kidnapped after her office cab dropped her near her home in south Delhi's Vasant Vihar around 4 a.m.

March 20, 2009: Jigisha's body was recovered from a place near Surajkund in Haryana

March 23, 2009: Delhi Police arrest three men in the murder case

June 2009: Delhi Police file chargesheet in the case against the three men

April 15, 2010: Trial begins in the case

July 5, 2016: Delhi court reserves its judgement in the case

July 14, 2016: Delhi court convicts the three men

August 22, 2016: Delhi court awarded death penalty to Ravi Kapoor and Amit Shukla and sentences the third accused, Baljeet Singh Malik, to life imprisonment.
