Nagaur: Undoubtedly, the latest meeting of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) in Rajasthan's Nagaur will be remembered as a key landmark in the outfit's history due to following reasons:-
Change in uniform
In the meeting, the RSS officials decided to replace their khaki coloured knickers with brown trousers as the new uniform.
According to RSS general secretary Bhaiyyaji Joshi, trousers are more common in normal life and we are the people who move with times and that's why we had no hesitation in changing the dress code.
Comments on caste-based reservation
In a post meeting press conference, RSS slammed the people who are well off but still seek reservation.
Women entry in temples
RSS also batted for equal rights to men and women. The outfit advocated that we should do away with unfair practices carried out at temples and appealed that men and women in the country should be treated equally without any discrimination.
Huge spike in trainees
RSS informed media that in the year 2015-16, around 1.14 lakh people received the training from the outfit. In the year 2014-15, only 80 thousand had received the basic RSS training.
Keeping the above reasons in view, this meeting of RSS will certainly be remembered as one of the most important events.
