New Delhi: A fashion line dedicated to the Indian Army will be showcased at the French European Indian Fashion Week (FEIFW), an initiative of World News Network, scheduled to take place in Paris October 21-23

It will serve as a platform for designers from around the world to express their culture or any other cause through their creations.

"We are going to show a collection dedicated to the Indian Army at FEIFW in Paris," read a statement issued by the organisers.

Satish Reddy, President of FEIFW, said, "I want to salute to our armed forces, who selflessly risk their lives to protect our beloved country and our families."

To create a buzz for the event, the organisers also hosted a fashion flashmob in the capital's busy Connaught Place area over the weekend. While people were going about their regular business - a crowd of models and children swarmed around in front of the central park.

Models sashayed up and down a runway, and designers, acid attack survivors from NGO Acid Survivors Foundation India and children from NGO Shrishti participated in the flashmob to salute the Indian Army for their bravery.

Show director Liza Varma said, "I am very happy that people from all over India are saluting the hardships of our soldiers and this was to show them that their efforts are being appreciated by a grateful nation," as per IANS.

Last month Reddy had said that French European Indian Organization was happy to introduce a unique fashion week on the first level of the iconic Eiffel Tower.

"It's a great pleasure organizing a fashion week on the Eiffel Tower and we are looking forward to promote fashion on all the seven wonders of the world. I want to thank all the French and Indian Dignitaries for supporting this iconic event and making a dream turn into reality," Reddy had said in a statement.
