New Delhi: Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who will lead the protest against 'Award Wapsi' to Rashtrapati Bhavan on Saturday, came in defence of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, stating he is true Indian.
Speaking to ANI, Kher said that SRK is a true Indian who loves his country.
“He is a true Indian who loves his country and the country loves him,” Kher was quoted as saying by ANI.
Further condemning BJP MP Yogi Adityanath's remark against SRK, Kher said that the remark is unfortunate.
“Yogi Adityanath's remark is unfortunate and cheap. He is BJP's Digvijaya Singh,” he said.
Kher's statement came after Adityanath slammed the Bollywood superstar and compared him to Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed.
