The move has been taken amid concerns that the Pakistani Army could try to create trouble along the Line of Control (LoC).

As per a report in the Hindustan Times, intelligence inputs have suggested that Pakistan may launch a fresh wave of attacks on two posts - Haq and Kopra-2.

Bunkers in these posts have been destroyed in the past.

The report quoted Colonel JV Singh, commanding officer of 5/4 Gorkha Rifles, as saying that the the enemy have been talking about overrunning the two posts.

The Pakistani soldiers are perched on heights overlooking the posts.

The Indian soldiers are also shoring up their defences against the threat from Pakistani posts, namely Kopra OP, Kopra LP and Brown Patch.

As per reports, the Poonch sector is guarded by one of the Army’s largest brigades with nine battalions under it.

The Daily also quoted Brigadier Navdeep Brar, commander of the Poonch Brigade as saying that the Army carries out a detailed analysis of such inputs.

And Lieutenant general RR Nimbhorkar, commander of the Nagrota-based 16 Corps said that when Pakistan talks of attacking specific posts, they are actually playing mind games.
