Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday raided a house in a south Kashmir village where Burhan Wani's successor and Hizbul Mujahideen commander Zakir Rashid Bhat alias Mosa had allegedly recorded threatening videos.
The house in Batipora Dadsara village of Tral, the hometown of Wani, was raided in a crackdown on over-ground networks of militants.
As per a police statement: “During the preliminary investigation it was established that Zakir alias Mosa used to record videos (to threaten policemen and their informers) in one of the rooms of the house.”
"Some clothes and other material used by Zakir in different videos and photographs were also recovered.”
Police have launched a manhunt to nab the absconding house owner.
Zakir became the Hizbul commander after Wani was killed in a gunfight with security forces on July 08 this year.
