Ranchi: An unknown person allegedly threatened former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda demanding Rs 20 lakh from him.
According to media reports, Koda received the call on Saturday night.
The caller even threatened Koda and said if he failed to pay the amount his only daughter would be kidnapped soon, as per Zee Media.
An FIR has been registered in Lalpur police station in Ranchi.
The caller and the phone number from which the extortion demand was made has been tracked.
The tainted minister was arrested in 2009 in connection to the mining scam and was later released.
