Ranchi: The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) today said it will field its candidate in the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections in the state and would seek support of Congress and other parties.
With 19 MLAs, JMM is the single largest opposition party in the state Assembly.

"The party will field a candidate in the Rajya Sabha candidate. (JMM working president) Hemant Soren will meet Congress president Sonia Gandhi to discuss the issue and seek Congress' support," JMM supremo Shibu Soren told a press conference.


The last date for filing of nomination papers is May 31 and the elections for two seats will be held on June 11.
