Thiruvananthapuram: Three persons have been arrested in connection with the gang-rape of a 19-year-old nursing student on the outskirts of state's capital.
The shameful incident happened on Tuesday. The victim has alleged that she was sexually assaulted by three men, including her friend.
The nursing student who is still admitted in the ICU of a private hospital, has identified her attackers as Sujith, 25, and Shyju, 24. The 19-year-old has alleged that she was gang-raped in Sujith's autorickshaw.
Last week, a 30-year-old law student was found dead in her home, her intestines hanging out, inside her home in Perumbavoor, 200 km from the state capital.
Police believe that the lady identified as Jisha, whose mutilated body was found by her mother on April 28, was sexually assaulted as there were injury marks on her private parts.
