Mumbai: Angry commuters blocked trains on Titwala-Khadwali route for nearly three hours on Wednesday.
According to The Times of India, Central Railways had blocked the rail line at 3:35 am to solve a problem in the Over Head Equipment between Khadavli and Atgaon stations.
The work was scheduled to be finished by 4:40 am, however, it got over at 5.56 am.
The delay in services at Titwala angered mobs so much they blocked rail tracks from 6:10 am to 8:55 am.
Central Railway later announced on Twitter that train services on Kalyan-Kasara section resumed from 8:55 am.
