Pune: The principal of Fergusson College, Dr Ravindrasingh Pardeshi, has written a letter to the Pune Police seeking investigation into the alleged anti-national slogans raised in the college premises yesterday.
The principle also urged strong action against those who had raised such slogans in the college premises.
The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists and some students from the Left organisations got into a heated argument yesterday during a talk organised at the Fergusson College on the topic 'Truth of JNU'.
The students, who had gathered under the Ambedkarite ideology group, raised slogans for JNU students union president Kanhaiya Kumar and Dalit research scholar Rohith Vemula who hanged himself in Hyderabad Central University campus earlier in January this year.
