Girl raped on way back from school in Maharashtra

Thane: A school girl was allegedly raped by a youth when she was returning home in Manpada area of Dombivali, police said on Saturday.

Inspector GS Randive of the Manpada police station said the accused Ajay Patil (22) was absconding.

The incident took place yesterday afternoon when the 14 years old girl was returning home from her school in Balegaon.

Patil, who was on motorbike, allegedly accosted the girl near Shirdon village, took her to a field forcibly, and raped her at knife-point. Further probe is on.
