Lucknow: There seems to be no end in sight to problems for controversial Islamic preacher Zakir Naik.
In a fresh controversy, a group has announced a bounty of Rs 15 lakh on the head of Zakir Naik.
The name of the group is Hussaini Tigers; basically a Shia group.
Slamming Zakir Naik, Syed Kalbe Hussain Naqvi said, “He is a ‘khalnayak’ (villain). He has insulted the Prophet of Islam and whosoever kills him would get cash reward from us."
“Naik is a ‘kafir’ (heathen)” Naqvi added lashing out at the controversial Islamic preacher, according to a report in Hindustan Times.
Syed Kalbe Hussain Naqvi is son of senior vice-president of the All India Muslim Personal Law Board and prominent cleric Syed Kalbe Sadiq.
Zakir Naik under fire
Zakir Naik is under fire as his speeches are believed to have inspired some of the Bangladeshi militants, who killed 22 people, mostly foreigners, at an upscale restaurant in Dhaka on July 1.
Bangladesh government has already banned the broadcasting of Zakir Naik's Peace TV channel after reports that his "provocative" speeches inspired some of the militants who carried out the country's worst terror attack at a cafe in Dhaka.
