New Delhi: The Assembly Elections results in four states are being expected to come till 12:00 noon, reports said on Saturday.
"Almost by lunchtime tomorrow the results will be out as to who is going to form the government, " Chief Election Commissioner VS Sampath said. The outcome of the Delhi Assembly Elections - arguably the most exciting among the five states that went to polls in December, will be out tomorrow, with the fate of 810 candidates for the 70-member assembly being decided.

The three major players - the Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and debutant Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) - are on tenterhooks for the results might swing in anybody`s favour - if exit polls are not taken into consideration. "The results are eagerly awaited as we are set to win the polls," a senior BJP leader said.

The counting in Delhi will begin at 8 am.

A total 11,993 Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) have been kept under high security in 14 counting booths across the city.

What makes the contest exciting is the three-way battle with the advent of AAP that has created ripples on the political landscape of Delhi, hitherto the fiefdom of the Congress and the BJP.
Meanwhile the Election Commission of India has also informed that the postal ballots would be taken up for counting first. Elaborate instructions were issued to the Chief Electoral Officers (CEOs) of the four states. Counting in Mizoram will be done on December 9.
As per reports, out of the 129 counting booths, 51 are in Madhya Pradesh, 37 in Rajasthan, 27 in Chhattisgarh and 14 in Delhi. All four states recorded a higher turnout this time round than the previous years.
