New Delhi: Zee News’ popular news show, ‘Daily News and Analysis’, took a strong position against India’s apparent reluctance to give a strong reply to Pakistan after five Indian soldiers were killed along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.
Programme anchor and Zee News Editor Sudhir Chaudhary gave voice to the simmering anger across the nation over the dastardly act by India’s western neighbour.
In the episode aired on Tuesday, Mr Chaudhary pointed out that nothing seems to have changed in Pakistan – Nawaz Sharif was in power during Pakistan’s Kargil misadventure in 1999 and he is again in power in 2013 when 20 Pakistani soldiers intrude into India, kill five soldiers and go back easily. The news show also highlighted the perceived weak response every time Pakistan crosses the line and resorts to unilateral military action against India and stressed that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will need to take a tough stand on the issue and respond strongly to Pakistan.
The audience responded enthusiastically to the interactive programme by responding via social media and uploading videos on upload.zeenews.com.
