Now you really can keep an eye on traffic with Bing maps

Washington: Microsoft has added live traffic camera feeds to its mapping software to give an even clearer idea about how heavy traffic flows are.

The new feature is in addition to Bing's existing congestion analytics that predict how busy a route will be based on historical as well as real-time data.

However, the cameras also bring the added benefit of being able to check out what a commute might look like in terms of scenery, points of interest or even how well lit the route is for those choosing to walk or take public transport.
