New Delhi: Snapchat is introducing a new feature called 'Memories' for its users.
Memories, which is a new way to save Snaps and Stories on Snapchat, will allow you to save pictures you take in the app and share them again later.
“It’s super easy to find the Snap or Story you’re looking for in just a few seconds by typing keywords like “dog” or “Hawaii” - that way you can spend less time searching and more time enjoying your Memories”, the company said in a statement.
It said that users can use Memories to create new Stories from Snaps they’ve taken, or even combine different Stories into a longer narrative.
“We’ve also created a new way to send Snaps from Memories to your friends, or even post them to your Story. If you post a Snap you took more than a day ago to your Story, it will appear with a frame around it so that everyone knows it’s from the past”, it added.
The company said that none of the photos or videos from your Camera Roll will be backed by the Snapchat, unless you use one to make a new Story or add it to My Eyes Only. That means,Snapchat will back up only the photo or video that you used.
Memories will be rolling out selectively over the next month or so. Once it's ready for use, users will receive a chat from Team Snapchat.
