Tumblr adds live video platform, but it's definitely different!

New Delhi: Tumblr is going the Facebook and Twitter way by adding live video platform.

However, the social blogging service isn't launching its own live-streaming technology, instead it's getting into the live video by partnering with YouTube, YouNow, Kanvas and Upclose.

Tumblr's video feature enables users to live videos through YouNow(iOS, Android), Kanvas (iOS, Android), Upclose (iOS, Android) and YouTube (Android-ready right now, iOS-ready in a few days).

Each live video app has sharing options in their settings.

It is said that Tumblr will also notify its users when anyone they follow foes live and pin their video to the top of their dashboard.

Looks like the social media platform has taking a slightly different approach than their competitors.
