New Delhi: An Indian Army's Cheetah helicopter crashed at Dimapur helipad in Nagaland on Monday during its routine sortie. However, no one was injured in the incident.

The crash took place shortly after the helicopter took off from Rangapahar helipad in Nagaland's Dimapur district.


The plane crashed nose down from a height of about 10-12 feet on the ground at 9.30 AM, Defence PRO in Shillong, Amit Mahajan said


Two pilots and an army official, who were on board at the time of the incident, escaped unhurt.


An inquiry has been ordered into the incident, he said.
