Cold conditions grip Rajasthan, Mount Abu coldest at 6.4 deg C

Mercury further plummeted by one to four degrees Celsius at all places in Rajasthan in the last 24 hours, it stated.
On the plains, Churu recorded minimum temperature of 7.8 degrees Celsius, which was three degrees below normal. It was followed by 9.1 degrees Celsius in Sriganganagar.
Residents of Jaipur experienced a chilly night yesterday as the mercury dipped to 11.6 degrees Celsius, which was two degrees below normal.
Elsewhere in the state including in Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur, Barmer, Jaisalmer and Bikaner, the minimum temperature ranged between 12.4 and 15.7 degrees Celsius.
Winter conditions are likely to settle in the state by the weekend with mercury sliding down further especially at night, a forecast said.
