Honour killing: Girl burnt alive by family in Rajasthan, 7 including father held

Dungarpur: In an apparent incident of honour killing, a girl has been allegedly burnt alive by her family for marrying a man of her choice from a different caste.

The girl, who had returned home after 8 years of marriage, was burnt alive in front of entire village, report said.

The woman from Dungarpur village of Rajasthan had married a man of her choice against the wish of her family members seveal years ago and had recently returned to her native village.

Following the incident, the police registered an FIR against 35 people. At least 7 persons including the father of the victim were arrested.
