New Delhi: US space agency NASA has unveiled a stunning image of phytoplankton bloom in the North Atlantic, taken in late September.
Large-scale autumn bloom of microscopic marine algae is known as phytoplankton.

Each time in the spring season, the waters of the North Atlantic Ocean witness a dramatic “bloom” of phytoplankton.

The image has been captured by Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) on the Suomi NPP satellite.
