Pakistan's Bacha Khan University reopens after attack

The Bacha Khan University in Pakistan reopened on Monday, four days after a terrorist attack that left 21 people killed and over 30 injured.

Islamabad: The Bacha Khan University in Pakistan reopened on Monday, four days after a terrorist attack that left 21 people killed and over 30 injured.

Strict security measures were in place at the university campus in Charsadda, with leave cancelled for police personnel posted on guard duty at the campus, Geo Tv reported.

On Sunday, Vice-Chancellor Fazal-ur-Rahim Marwat said the university would reopen for staff on Monday and classes will resume shortly.

A public relations officer for the varsity said a meeting of all departmental heads would take place on Monday where they will decide when to resume classes.

A condolence meeting was held at the main auditorium of the university where teachers, students and other staff offered prayers for those killed and those injured in the terror attack. Teachers and staff recited the Holy Quran for the victims.
