New Delhi: British astronaut Tim Peake has shared yet another stunning picture of a glowing aurora taken from the International Space Station (ISS).
Peake of the European Space Agency (ESA) captured this remarkable scene of the aurora on February 23, 2016.
The @Space_Station just passed straight through a thick green fog of #aurora…eerie but very beautiful. #Principia pic.twitter.com/r2HJ8Ejzov

Earlier, in January, the astronaut posted a series of aurora images taken from space on Twitter with the caption ‘Getting a photo masterclass from Scott Kelly - magical aurora.’
Aurora are one effect of such energetic particles, which can speed out from the sun both in a steady stream called the solar wind and due to giant eruptions known as coronal mass ejections or CMEs.
