New Delhi: NASA astronaut Scott Kelly, along with crew members and Russian cosmonauts Mikhail Kornienko and Sergey Volkov, spent 340 days aboard the International Space Station for NASA's #YearInSpace mission.
Kelly started the mission on March 27, 2015 and boarded the Soyuz spacecraft that made a successful landing on Earth at 11:26 pm EST today.
Images on Kelly's social media platforms gave viewers and space enthusiasts an insight into what life in space looks like.
During his last 10 days, Kelly took to Twitter and tweeted pics of sunrises each day marking his countdown to the day when he would start his journey back to Earth.
Since the day is finally here, Kelly tweeted five photographs of the last sunrise he would see from space, at an interval of a few minutes each.
