New Delhi: It is not only the common man, which has been severely affected by the extreme weather conditions and the dense fog these days. 

As winter continues to grip northern India with its harshness, even Gods are not spared.

The harsh weather conditions have led to a change in their attire and cuisine and, altered their normal routine too with a late rise from sleep and early schedule to bed.

At the various temples across the Uttar Pradesh, the priests have covered the deities with woollen and velvet fabrics while the public coming in for the 'darshan' are bringing the offerings suiting the the chilling climate.

According to ANI, temples authorities in Lucknow's 'Kali Mandir' have covered idols of deities with woollen clothes in view of the dipping temperature.

Meanwhile, thousands of people remain stranded as 82 trains were delayed and 16 cancelled due to dense fog in parts of north India on Monday.

A Northern Railway official said 23 trains were rescheduled as the visibility dropped to 400 metres on Monday.

The 14005 Lichchvi Express was running 34 hours behind its schedule, 12459 Amritsar New Delhi Express was running 30 hours late and 12401 Islampur-New Delhi Magadh Express was delayed by 25 hours, the official said.

Meanwhile, according to the Delhi International Airport Limited, which manages operations at the Indira Gandhi International airport here, said no flight was cancelled on Monday.

While few of the international flights arriving in Delhi were delayed.
