Lucknow: BSP supremo Mayawati on Saturday launched a frontal attack on the rival parties and said that while the ruling SP has already accepted defeat in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP govt at the centre has failed to keep its poll promises.
Referring to the ongoing talks about “Mahagathbandhan” (grand political alliance) in the poll bound Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati said, “their efforts reflects that the Samajwadi Party has already accepted their defeat.”
The BSP leader said Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav is surrounded by criminals and he has no voice in his own party. The Samajwadi Party is divided due to the selfish nature of the party members, she alleged.
Slamming the Akhilesh government, she said there is total “Jungle Raj” in UP.
Mayawati also raked up the Muzaffarnagar and Dadri incidents and said, “BJP aims to divide communities in Uttar Pradesh”.
“There is no doubt that PM Modi govt in two-and-a-half years of its tenure hasn't been able to complete even 1/3rd of election promises,” she alleged.
She said that her party will contest the elections alone and expressed hope that it will emerge victorious.
