Shamli: A 10-year-old child was allegedly killed during a celebration firing by the ruling Samajwadi Party supporters in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday.
According to media reports, the party workers opened fire while celebrating the victory of candidate Nafisa in the block elections when the incident took place.
Confirming the news, Circle Officer of Kairana NP Singh said, “A child aged around 8 was going on a rickshaw, was hit by a bullet and died.”
“It is possible that he was hit by bullet fired in celebratory firing, we are investigating ,” he added.
