Dreaded dacoit killed in Malda

Malda: One dacoit was killed when he was attacked with sharp weapons by a couple to resist dacoity in their residence at Dhuksuri, police said Wednesday.

A gang of nine dacoits entered the house last night and injured the house owner and his wife when they tried to resist. The couple could hold one of the attackers and beat him up leading to his death, police said.

Soon the dacoits fled and locals reached the spot.

The injured couple was hospitalised, police said.
