Kolkata: The budget session of the West Bengal assembly begins on Friday with the budget slated to be presented on June 24, Speaker Biman Banerjee announced here on Thursday.
Governor KN Tripathi will address the members on Friday, while the obituary references are slated to be made on June 20.
A three-day discussion on the governor's address would start from June 21, an all-party meeting decided during the day.
Finance Minister Amit Mitra would place the budget for 2016-17 on June 24.
The session concludes on July 4.
This being the maiden session of the new assembly, the first-time legislators would undergo an orientation programme on June 20.
In view of the ongoing Ramadaan, the House would conclude daily at 4.30 p.m.
