Lanzhou: A mini tornado swept through a schoolyard in China, throwing a primary school student about four meters into the air.
Li Jiaqi, a Grade Three primary school student from Guazhou county, in northwestern Gansu province, survived with only minor injuries.
The mini tornado wreaked havoc as it struck a packed sports field at around 4 pm as hundreds of pupils were participating in sports day events organised by the school.
