Texas: Bizarre as it may sound but it's true.
As per a report published in the CBS affiliate KWTX.com, the Texas police discovered a fully loaded gun stashed inside a woman's vagina, when they stopped a car during a late-night traffic stop in Waco recently.
The officers arrested Gabriel Garcia and Ashley Cecilia Castaneda after discovering 2.7 grams of methamphetamines under the driver’s seat, and an additional 29.9 grams in a purse.
All of this, of course, was enough to arrest Garcia and Castaneda. However, it was the latter’s disclosure about a firearm hidden inside her vagina that caught the officers' immediate attention.
“Officers immediately stopped and a female officer searched Castaneda discovering she had in fact stashed a loaded Smith and Wesson pistol inside her body cavity,” Sgt. W Patrick Swanton said.
“The weapon had a round chambered and a full magazine of bullets,” she was quoted as saying.
The gun contained therein was a 6-shot Smith & Wesson Model 61 semi-automatic pistol, though it was equipped with a 5-bullet magazine for concealed carry.
“We don’t see those too much,” said Swanton, while commenting about the manufacturer - Smith & Wesson - which made the last of the guns in early 1974.
Castaneda was later charged with manufacturing and delivery of a controlled substance in a drug free zone, two counts of possession of a dangerous drug and with unlawfully carrying a weapon.
She remained in the McLennan County Jail till Tuesday afternoon in lieu of bonds totalling $31,000.
Garcia was charged with possession of methamphetamine in a drug free zone.
