Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif discharged from hospital after open-heart surgery, to stay at London residence

Islamabad: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was on Tuesday discharged from hospital in London after successfully undergoing a open heart surgery. 

On Monday, Sharif's daughter Maryam Nawaz Sharif had tweeted, "Doctors satisfied with PM's progress and latest reports. All being well, Insha'Allah PM will be discharged this afternoon." 

"PM going back home," she wrote in a second tweet.

As per the report, Sharif will be staying at his London residence with his family till his recovery.

It was the 66-year-old`s second major cardiac medical procedure in five years.

The London hospital where the procedure was carried out has not been officially named.
