Washington: An Indian-origin woman working as a cashier at a convenience store in Georgia, United States, fought off an armed robber with bare hands, it has emerged.

People have hailed her for bravery after the video of the incident surfaced on social media.

The incident was captured on camera when the robber pulled out a gun and threatened to shoot her. But the brave woman easily thwarted the attack.

The robber was eventually forced to flee, mashable.com reported.
