BJP to go solo for Odisha assembly elections, chief Amit Shah rules out any party alliance

Bhubaneswar: the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will fight alone in the next Odisha assembly elections, said party chief Amit Shah on Thursday.

BJP will not form an alliance with any regional party, he added.

Unveiling the BJP's 'Mission 120' for Odisha, Shah on Wednesday claimed that BJP will come to power in Odisha with two-third majority in the next assembly elections.

He further criticised Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for celebrating his best administrator award given by news magazine.

“Surgical strike speaks of the strong political will of the Modi government. This govt can do everything to defend the country,” said Shah.

Accompanied by Union Petroleum and Natural Gas (PNG) Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and state BJP president Basant Panda, Shah visited the 11th century Lord Lingaraj Temple.

Shah is scheduled to address a workers' gathering at the Janta Maidan on Friday.
